Yesterday, on the first of september, the Aarhus based cheerleading team “Untamed” had its first physical training session after several weeks of online practice. “When Corona started, we basically digitalized the entire practices we had”, Christina, coach of the team said. Several Coaches of the cheerleading club volunteered to give classes targeted to specific skills such as back handspring or stretching classes. “Those classes were really nice, because you could see each other through zoom, so it would give that feeling that we are together as a team”, Christina said.

Still the team is glad to be bag in the gym and start the new season. They have close to zero restrictions concerning their training. All athletes are required to use hand sanitizer every 30 minutes. “Besides that, we try to keep the time where people have to be really close to a minimum”, Christina continues.

A difficult task, regarding the fact that the sport requires a lot of body contact.
