The novel Coronavirus has significantly affected the way students live and learn. Most colleges have closed their campuses and shifted to online learning during the first “wave” of the pandemic, and many have also adopted the pass/fail policy concerning grading. Besides means of learning, students’ day-to-day homelife has also changed.

Jakob Schultz, a political-science student residing at Børglum kollegiet, affirms that there have been many changes at floor he lives in due to Covid-19. “Suddenly we went from having a normal semester to completely doing nothing, many people left the dorm and few days after the start of the pandemic we were only 7 or 8 people left here,” says Schultz. “

Asger Nielsen, also residing in Børglum, adds “I was not worried about getting contaminated by the virus, because we were all home most the time, and no visitors were allowed.” Nielsen proceeds, “the pandemic pushed us to talk more to each other’s, since we had nothing else to do, we also assembled a 1000-piece puzzle.”
